Marcus Jordan won the Illinois 4A State Championship in basketball with the  Whitney Young Magnet High School basketball team. This attracted the attention of recruits, along with the fact that he was the son of the greatest player in the history of basketball. Yes, Michael Jordan's son was a highly prized recruit for college basketball teams. Marcus Jordan chose to attend the University of Central Florida, an improving team that was able to take down a number of national powers during his three years as a player there. He only played three season at UCF, though, surrendering his roster spot in his senior season so that he could focus on entrepreneurial pursuits while continuing his business classes.
